Evergreen Park High School launched a football field/stadium renovation in 2024 which included not only a turf field, but also the upgrade of an outdated scoreboard system.

Aesthetic & Structural Design
Structural and aesthetic design is a collaboration between GRS staff and our customers. It is the intersection of a vision and reality, defining what must be built to achieve the desired outcome.
Installation
In order to save cost, and for sheer prudence, we re-used the existing vertical supports, but added two supplemental supports given the increased size of the new structure. Caisson footers were drilled and steel beams were erected in concrete foundations.
Vision Achieved
The Evergreen Park scoreboard was successfully installed, powered up and programmed. This project has breathed new life into the stadium and made it more enjoyable for students, staff and supporters.
Aesthetics

Mechanical Design
The mechanical design of a sign specifically addresses how the sign will be built such that it can be manufactured and also meet the client’s aesthetic desires. Our designers are tasked with determining the location of fasteners and mounting brackets, implementing ventilation and service access, and all while taking into consideration material size constraints and shipping limitations.
