Supporting a School That Stays Active and Connected

Amite High Magnet School serves a vibrant and engaged community. Throughout the year, the campus hosts events, supports student activities, and communicates regularly with families.

Like many schools, they had an existing changeable letter sign at their entrance. It had served its purpose over time, but as communication needs continued to grow, it became clear that a more flexible solution would better support the school moving forward.

A High-Visibility Location

The school is located along a well-traveled roadway within the community.

Amite City is a smaller community, but the school sits along a well-traveled corridor connecting surrounding areas across Tangipahoa Parish. That means its visibility reaches well beyond the local population.

Based on Louisiana DOT traffic modeling and comparable roadway counts, an estimated 5,000 to 6,000 vehicles pass this location each day—equating to more than 2 million annual impressions.

That level of visibility creates a meaningful opportunity for consistent, day-to-day communication.

Making Communication Easier to Maintain

The goal was not to change how the school communicates, but to make it easier to keep messages current.

With a digital LED school sign in place, staff can update announcements quickly from a computer or mobile device. Messages can be scheduled in advance, rotated automatically, and adjusted as needed without requiring manual updates.

This allows the sign to stay aligned with what is actually happening on campus, even during busy times of the year.

A More Consistent Presence at the Entrance

One of the most noticeable benefits is consistency.

Events, reminders, and announcements are now visible throughout the day to parents, students, and community members passing by. The entrance reflects the activity happening inside the school in a way that feels current and organized.

It is a simple shift, but an important one.
